ResMed AirTouch F20 Full Face CPAP Mask Starter Kit (includes 5 spare cushions) - Large
The ResMed AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask is ResMed’s premium full face CPAP mask.
The AirTouch F20 utilises UltraSoft™ Memory Foam Technology, which is softer than a silicone cushion, and moulds to the contours of a user’s face, providing a better seal (reducing air leakage) and greater comfort. The AirTouch F20 cushion covers the nose and mouth.
The AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask Starter Kit consists of 6 Memory Foam Cushions (one attached to the mask and 5 spare cushions) as it is designed to be replaced on a monthly basis.
Key features that make the ResMed AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask a more premium, comfortable and better fitting mask than other traditional CPAP masks are as follows:
- UltraSoft™ Memory Foam Cushion Technology – moulds to the user’s facial contours, delivering a more tailored fit to reduce air leakage and red marks on the user’s face. This plush, breathable cushion minimizes pressure points and reduces skin irritation and abrasion, making it suitable for all sensitive skin types.

2. Modular Frame Design – allows users to switch between the AirTouch F20 memory foam cushion and the AirFit F20 InfinitySeal cushion at will. This flexibility enables patients to experiment with different cushion options to find the one that best suits their needs and preferences.3. Looser Mask Fit – as the AirTouch F20’s memory foam cushion generally provides a more reliable seal, users can wear their mask with less tension in the mask headgear, reducing pressure on the face, with users experiencing fewer strap marks, particularly when they wake up the following morning.
4. Magnetic Headgear Clips – putting on and taking off the AirTouch F20 mask has never been easier. The magnetic headgear clips securely attach to the mask frame, allowing for hassle-free attachment and detachment, resulting in a stable fit throughout the night.
5. QuietAir™ Vent Technology – makes sleeping with CPAP quieter. ResMed’s QuietAir vent technology gently diffuses exhaled air, significantly reducing noise and promoting a peaceful sleep environment for you and your partner.
6. Quick Release Elbow – enables users to disconnect their CPAP machine quickly without having to remove the entire mask, making night-time bathroom visits or beverage trips more convenient than ever.
7. Multiple Cushion Sizes – the AirTouch F20 mask is available in a Small, Medium and Large size to accommodate a wide range of facial shapes and sizes. Find the size right for you using our sizing chart.
8. Minimalistic Design – was intentional to allow for a clear line of sight, particularly for bedtime reading or watching TV before drifting off to sleep. This feature also assists in reducing feelings of discomfort and/or claustrophobia that can be associated with other more traditional CPAP masks.
9. Lightweight Design – allows users to wear their AirTouch F20 mask for longer, helping to reduce any potential neck or head fatigue.
10. Easy to Clean and Maintain – as the AirTouch cushions are easily detached from the mask and disposable, minimal cleaning and maintenance is required. It is recommended that the AirTouch cushion be wiped daily with a gentle soap and warm water to remove facial oils and debris.
11. Universal Compatibility – the AirTouch F20 is compatible with most CPAP machines, irrespective of CPAP brand, ensuring easy integration with a user’s existing CPAP machine. Please note that CPAP users’ experiences can vary from individual to individual depending on their preferences and facial structure and features.

What is the ResMed AirTouch F20 mask?
The ResMed AirTouch F20 mask is a full face mask that covers the nose and mouth. The AirTouch cushion is made from memory foam, as against silicon for the ResMed AirFit F20 mask, and is designed to be softer, more comfortable and better sealing to prevent air leaks, as it moulds to the contours of your face. The AirTouch cushion is particularly beneficial for users with facial asymmetries.
The ResMed AirTouch F20 mask comes in 3 sizes: Small (Product Code 630019), Medium (Product Code 630020) and Large (Product Code 630020).
Who should use a ResMed AirTouch F20 mask?
The people who will benefit the most from the ResMed AirTouch F20 mask are:
- Mouth breathers who experience high air leakage with other CPAP masks;
- CPAP users who experience difficulties getting comfortable with other CPAP masks;
- Users of other CPAP masks that require a tight fit to reduce high air leakage and find this uncomfortable;
- CPAP users who experience red marks or pressure soreness from using other CPAP masks;
- Restless sleepers who toss and turn in bed a lot and dislodge their mask causing high air leakage.
- CPAP users with sensitive skin and prefer a softer mask;
- CPAP users with an asymmetrical face;
- CPAP users who do not have a straight nose bridge.
What is the difference between ResMed AirTouch and AirFit CPAP masks?
The primary difference between the ResMed AirTouch and AirFit masks is the mask cushion material.
The AirTouch mask cushion is made of Ultra Soft™ Memory Foam, whilst the Airfit mask cushion is made using silicone. The AirTouch memory foam cushion is softer allowing it to mould to the shape of your face. However, they are not as durable compared to the silicone AirFit cushions and need to be replaced more regularly.
You should consider the AirTouch mask if you experience high leakage or discomfort using the AirFit mask.
A major benefit of both ResMed masks is that the AirFit and AirTouch cushions are interchangeable, giving users greater flexibility with their mask cushion choice. Ie an AirFit cushion will fit on an AirTouch mask and vice versa.
How often should I change my ResMed AirTouch F20 mask?
The frequency at which one should change their ResMed AirTouch F20 mask depends on a number of factors, such as usage and maintenance. Key things to consider include:
- AirTouch memory foam cushion – ResMed recommends replacing the AirTouch cushion approximately every 30 days. However, factors that can affect the AirTouch cushion’s lifespan include, the oiliness of the user’s skin, cleanliness, wear and tear and personal comfort.
- Headgear and Straps – if these AirTouch accessories are beginning to stretch or fray, they should be replaced. A general rule of thumb is 6 months. Users who require a tight mask fit, may need to replace it sooner.
- Magnetic clips, Swivel Connectors and Filters – should be inspected regularly and replaced if damaged or worn out. General rule of thumb is 6 – 12 months.
- Regular cleaning – it is recommended that the AirTouch mask and cushion be wiped down with a dedicated CPAP mask wipe.
- Sensitive skin – can also impact the lifespan of the AirTouch mask. If you notice skin sensitivity or irritation, it may be necessary to replace Airtouch mask accessories sooner to avoid discomfort or adverse reactions. If skin sensitivity or irritation occurs, speak to your doctor for advice.
The guidelines provided above are general in nature. Always follow the directions for use from the manufacturer and speak with your doctor or CPAP Consultant if you have any questions.
Can I buy replacements parts for my AirTouch F20 mask?
Yes, replacement parts for the AirTouch F20 mask are readily available. Replacing worn out headgear, magnetic clips and cushions are recommended to optimise comfort and effective CPAP therapy.
Can I breathe through my mouth when using the AirTouch F20 mask?
Yes you can. The AirTouch F20 full face mask was designed with nose and mouth breathers in mind.
How do I know if my AirTouch F20 mask is fitted correctly?
You can tell that your AirTouch F20 mask is fitted correctly if the mask cushion over the nose and mouth seals well, with minimal air leakage. Also, the mask should fit comfortably, without the straps having to be too tight, and the mask remains properly sealed and in place, when you toss and turn during your sleep.
If unsure, it is best to speak with your healthcare professional or CPAP Consultant who can check your mask fit for you.
Can I sleep in any position with the ResMed AirTouch F20 mask?
You can usually sleep in any position with the AirTouch mask, except for the stomach, as the mask can more easily dislodge if sleeping with your face directly on the pillow. Sleeping on the back or on the side is usually fine.
What sizes does the ResMed AirTouch F20 mask come in?
The ResMed AirTouch F20 mask comes in 3 sizes:
- Small (Product Code 630019);
- Medium (Product Code 630020); and
- Large (Product Code 630020).
Will an AirFit F20 cushion fit on an AirTouch F20 mask?
Yes it will. The AirTouch F20 full face mask was designed to allow interchangeability between the AirFit and AirTouch cushions, giving users more choices when looking to improve the effectiveness and comfort of their CPAP therapy.
Does the AirTouch mask come with headgear?
If your purchase the ResMed AirTouch mask, it will come with headgear. If you already have the mask and wish to purchase just the accessories, you can do so also.
How do I clean the Memory Foam cushion on the ResMed AirTouch mask?
Avoid cleaning the ResMed AirTouch memory foam cushion with water or any other liquid as it will deteriorate the foam seal. It is best to use dedicated CPAP mask wipes. When using wipes, it is best to ensure the wipe is not alcohol based.
ResMed’s AirTouch cushions are recommended to be changed every 30 days, and therefore requires less regular cleaning in comparison to silicone cushions.
Other AirTouch mask accessories such as the frame and headgear, can be cleaned with warm water and a gentle soap.
Is the AirTouch F20 mask covered by private health insurance?
It really depends on your insurance policy. It is recommended that you speak to your insurance provider about your coverage for CPAP masks and accessories.
Where can I purchase ResMed AirTouch cushions?
AirTouch cushions can be purchased as a single cushion or in a 3 pack at Sove CPAP Clinic. Click here to view available cushion options. Replacement cushions are sold as singles or in 3 packs which can be found here.
Is the AirTouch mask suitable for users with sensitive skin?
The AirTouch memory foam mask has been designed as an alternative to silicone masks for people with sensitive skin. Its UltraSoft memory foam cushion is much gentler than traditional silicone, adapting comfortably to your face without needing tight straps.
This means less risk of skin irritation or pressure marks, which some users experience with other masks. If you’ve had discomfort or allergic reactions to silicone masks, the AirTouch is a great alternative. Plus, the breathable memory foam helps reduce sweat and moisture and is great if you have facial hair.
What materials are used in the construction of the AirTouch Mask?
Unlike traditional CPAP mask cushions that are typically made from silicone, the AirTouch mask features cushions made from ResMed’s UltraSoft memory foam material, which is designed to mould to the unique contours of your face for a secure fit.
Softer and more breathable, AirTouch mask cushions are designed to minimise next-day face marks , a common concern with traditional silicone cushions.
Is the AirTouch mask compatible with all CPAP machines?
Yes, the AirTouch mask is compatible with most CPAP machines on the market. It features a standard connector that fits most CPAP machine tubing, allowing users to easily attach it to their existing equipment.
It is, however, always good to check compatibility with your specific machine model. If in doubt, consult with your healthcare provider or the mask manufacturer for guidance.
One known exception is the ResMed AirMini. Unfortunately, the AirMini is designed to work exclusively with select ResMed masks. But this can be overcome by using affordable aftermarket connectors, which allow you to pair the machine with any mask.
Can I replace the cushion on the AirTouch mask?
Yes, the AirTouch mask cushion is designed to be disposable, with ResMed recommending a replacement every four weeks to ensure it stays comfortable and effective.
Replacement cushions are sold separately and swapping them out is quick and hassle-free. Just keep in mind that the memory foam cushion is porous, so it shouldn’t be washed or soaked in water. A quick daily wipe with a non-alcoholic, unscented wipe is all you need to keep it clean and fresh.
What should I do if my AirTouch mask feels uncomfortable?
If your AirTouch mask feels uncomfortable, there are a few things you can try to improve the fit and comfort.
First, ensure that the mask is properly adjusted. The headgear should be snug but not too tight, as excessive tightness can cause discomfort and pressure points.
If the mask still feels uncomfortable, consider replacing the cushion, as a worn-out cushion may not provide the same level of comfort and seal.
If none of the above steps work, our team of experienced CPAP consultants at Sove is here to help. They can try to address your leak over the phone or, if needed, arrange a mask fitting in store. Simply give us a call on 1300 76 29 39.
Is the AirTouch mask suitable for side sleepers?
Yes, the AirTouch mask can work well for side sleepers. Its soft memory foam cushion and flexible design help maintain a secure seal, even when you change positions. However, side sleeping can sometimes put additional pressure on the mask, and not every mask is a perfect fit for every user.
If the AirTouch feels uncomfortable or doesn’t stay securely in place when sleeping on your side, you may want to explore other CPAP masks that are better suited for side sleepers. Options like nasal pillows or masks with a top-of-the-head tube design are often ideal, as they are less bulky and provide greater stability for side-sleepers.
How can I troubleshoot issues with my AirTouch mask?
If you’re having issues with your AirTouch mask, start by checking the fit and headgear adjustment. Ensure the mask sits comfortably and seals properly. Reposition or adjust as needed and inspect the cushion for wear or damage. Regular cleaning is key to maintaining a good seal.
For further help, refer to the user manual or contact customer support. If you purchased a ResMed mask from us, visit your local Sove CPAP Clinic for a free consultation—our team is happy to assist. You can also explore ResMed’s online resources, including helpful instructional videos.
Are there any specific cleaning products recommended for the AirTouch mask?
For cleaning the AirTouch mask, it’s recommended to use mild soap and warm water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can damage the mask components. The memory foam cushion should be cleaned gently to preserve its integrity. After washing, rinse thoroughly and allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling the mask. Regular cleaning is crucial to maintain hygiene and ensure the mask functions properly. Some users also find it helpful to use CPAP mask wipes for quick daily cleaning.
How long can I expect the AirTouch mask to last with regular use?
With regular use and proper maintenance, the AirTouch mask can last several months. The memory foam cushion typically needs replacement every 30 days to maintain optimal comfort and performance. The mask frame and headgear, if cared for properly, can last longer, often up to six months or more. Regular inspection and cleaning are key to extending the life of your mask. It’s important to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for maintenance and replacement to ensure the mask continues to provide effective therapy.
