Hospitalisations Rising Amongst Fully Vaccinated In The Us

Health officials in the US are warning that more fully vaccinated people are being hospitalized. Dr Anthony Fauci explained, “What we’re starting to see now is an uptick in hospitalizations among people who’ve been vaccinated but not boosted. It’s a significant proportion, but not the majority by any means.”

Although the unvaccinated remain the most at risk of severe COVID-19, older vaccinated adults who are yet to receive a booster shot are becoming increasingly vulnerable to severe COVID-19. New data from long-term care facilities shows that older adults who have received a booster dose have a much lower rate of COVID-19 compared to those who haven’t received a booster. It is expected that soon booster doses will be rolled out to all adults in the US, similar to Australia and Israel.
